Dr. Kathy Skalko

Dr. Kathy earned her DVM at the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine, and came to MLVC soon after.  She enjoys seeing all types of patients, but really enjoys surgery and small animal dentistry. 

Dr. Frank Skalko

Dr. Frank started Moose Lake Vet Clinic in 1977.  He now works only two days a week, but still enjoys seeing patients and their owners!

Dr. Melissa Minkkinen

Dr. Melissa joined MLVC in 2017 after graduating from the University of Minnesota.  Cattle are her specialty, but she also enjoys seeing all types of farm animals including goats, sheep, and the farm dog!

Dr. Kristina Delaney

Dr. Kristina graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2017, and then spent a year as an intern veterinarian at Stillwater Equine.  She joined the MLVC team in 2018, and is mostly found out in the country seeing equine patients.  On the weekends she enjoys riding her horse Bentley, hiking, and camping. 

Melinda Cogswell, CVT

Melinda has worked at MLVC since 2012.  Coming from Duluth, she attended DBU for her CVT and moved to Barnum in 2012.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, along with her dog Douglas and cat Kiki.

Syra Engle, CVT

Syra came to MLVC in 2018 after working as a CVT at the small animal emergency clinic in Duluth, MN.  She graduated in 2001 from North Dakota State University, then spent some time in the army before returning to MN.  In her free time she enjoys showing and training horses.

Ashley Smith, CVT

Ashley joined MLVC after attending technician school at DBU.  She really enjoys anesthesia and assisting in surgery.  She lives in Duluth with her husband and new baby girl, along with her 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Pernilla Rypka, CVT

Nilla joined MLVC in 2017, after working as a CVT in Alaska.  Originally from Sweden, she now lives in Mahtowa with her husband and two kids, along with her many 4-legged critters.

Cailee Stenson, Veterinary Assistant

Cailee has worked at MLVC since 2013.  She can be found helping out with both small and large animal patients.  Outside of work she enjoys riding her two horses: Willow and Cajun.

Jill McNamara, Veterinary Assistant

Jill returned to MLVC in 2018 after a few years away.  She assists mostly with our equine patients and can usually be found riding shotgun in the vet truck.  In her spare time she enjoys training and riding western pleasure horses and spending time with her family.

Sarah Radzak, Reception

Sarah has worked at MLVC since 2011.  She can be found at the front desk most days, keeping the clinic running smoothly.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and hunting with her dogs: Bella and Lola.
